ABOUT THE PROJECT

The Goal of the GLOBUS Project is to improve the level of seismic safety for the population, reduce social, economic and environmental risks in a seismically dangerous region of the Russian Federation.

The territory of the Krasnodar Black Sea region has the maximum seismic risk index in the Russian Federation - 9.

Earthquake epicenters are periodically localized on the territory of the Caucasian State Natural Biosphere Reserve named after Kh.G. Shaposhnikov

PROJECT PARTICIPANTS

The GLOBUS PROJECT is included in the Program of Fundamental Scientific Research of State Academies of Sciences:

12.1. Research of the structure and dynamics of the ionosphere and radio wave propagation conditions (No. 0037-2014-0001);
12.1.10. Research of magnetically conjugate natural and man-made processes in the Earth's ionosphere and magnetosphere;
12.1.10.5. Conducting joint work with the Caucasian State Natural Biosphere Reserve to deploy a network of geomagnetic field recorders in the reserve away from sources of industrial noise.
